The Mac Hills reproduction bed was mated to the chassis. The bed subframe required considerable modification in order to obtain a proper fit. When completed the bed will sport an oak floor with stainless steel strips and hardware. |
An extra support was installed between the bed subframe and the rear portion of the chassis. Also visible in this image are the fuel tank vent, the Holley electric fuel pump and the Fram canister fuel filter. |
This image shows the backside of the filler panel that goes between the running board and the bed. A special bracket was fabricated allowing the panel to be bolted directly to the frame. |
The stainless steel gas filler neck was custom made by the folks at Rock Valley and then sent out for polishing. The rubber grommet is a stock item from a 1961 Ford pickup. The stainless tailight brackets were purchased from C.W. Moss in Orange, CA. |
